As far as I'm aware I haven't changed anything. This just started happening today and I can't work out why.

Whenever I try and run "bundle install", either in a fresh project or a new project I get the following error...

I've tried googling around but have come up with nothing. Any ideas?

Any help is much appreciated!

Add

gem 'sqlite3', '1.3.3'

gem 'sqlite3-ruby', '1.3.3'

as a workaround. Unclear what the solution is for now, but that works for me with Rails 3.1.0.rc5.

My experience with failing gems indicates that it's usually missing some kind of a development library that it needs for the build. The error messages certainly don't indicate that which I think is one of my big complaints about bundle install :/

That said, installing libsqlite3-dev fixed this error for me. YMMV.
