Cannot find control with name: formControlName in angular reactive form

Question

I found this problem in many questions in stackoverflow but no luck. Please help me for figuring out what I am doing wrong.

In component :

Everything should be right but when I load page find error

Cannot find control with name: 'website' ,'street', 'mobile', 'email','pageId'

In your HTML code

i got an error like your and i solved it by declaring the control names in the ts file into the form builder like this :

I also had this error, and you helped me solve it. If formGroup or formGroupName are not written with the good case, then the name of the control is not found. Correct the case of formGroup or formGroupName and it is OK.

I tried to generate a form dynamically because the amount of questions depend on an object and for me the error was fixed when I added ngDefaultControl to my mat-form-field.

    <form [formGroup]="questionsForm">
        <ng-container *ngFor="let question of questions">
            <mat-form-field [formControlName]="question.id" ngDefaultControl>
                <mat-label>{{question.questionContent}}</mat-label>

In sendFeedback() I get the value from my dynamic form by selecting the formgroup's value as such

For me the control name's case was different

In html it was accountID and ts file it was accountId changing the case to match both solved my case.

The long and short of the problem is that all your db fields must be explicitly mapped using the same fields as your AutoMapperProfile.

This also includes form fields, which should also have the same name as your model properties too. The entries in any model coming from your form must be the same entries as what is found in your database entries.

i.e. if your AutoMapper Profile lists 8 fields for your model, then your form should have eight fields. Then, you save that model to the database also with eight fields.

Should take care of most of it...

I solved this error by using tag relevant to the control in my formBuilder.group with formControlName="xxx"

In .ts file:

        this.reportForm = this.formBuilder.group({
            dateFrom: this.dateFromFC,
            dateTo: this.dateToFC,
            user: this.userFC,
        });

In .html file:

Inside mat-form-field's input

 <input type="text" matInput formControlName="user" [matAutocomplete]="auto">

For me even with [formGroup] the error was popping up "Cannot find control with name:''".
It got fixed when I added ngModel Value to the input box along with formControlName="fileName"
