I run a nightly job that compares SQL Agent jobs between AG nodes. On some of the jobs that run SSIS packages, there is a slight difference in the command line tab. The jobs run ok on both nodes but its annoying.

for example

enter image description here there are extra "\ in the second line. I've tried to manually edit to make them the same but it just reverts.

Can anyone help me get rid of this annoyance?

Cheers

Alex

It is an escaped character used to mark server names that contain characters not compatible with the agent syntax.

For example, the minus sign. SERVER-01 must be written as "\"SERVER-01"\". Otherwise, it will raise a “server not found” error.
