I have recently started replaying minecraft, and I found myself with an inventory issue. When I try to shift + click then hover over my various items to transfer them all into a chest, it only transfers the one stack and then doesn't transfer anything else.

I am not trying to do the "double click" shift trick, I am trying to quickly transfer all of my various stacks from one inventory to another, with no success. I can shift click one stack, but even when holding the shift key and trying to move others I need to click each stack individually, which is a nightmare when coming back from a mining expedition with numerous different types of items.

I have already checked if touchscreen mode is on, and it is in fact off.

Is there a way to fix this issue?

Are the stacks you are trying to transfer of the same type? If so, pick up a stack of that item, then Shift + Double Click on another stack.

If the stacks are of different types, then AFAIK what you are experiencing is intended behavior, as there is no "Deposit All" feature.

  • I can confirm they are of different types; It is possible I am simply too used to mousetweaks from various mod packs and have gotten it confused with base mechanics from the game. Thank you for trying to answer my question! Commented Aug 21 at 15:46
