I am using Halcon12 as we need to edit a old version of a software. For some reason suddenly every program or procedure I open is partially read only and every empty line is marked with an "*".

By partially read only i mean that I cannot click inside a procedure and type what i want. But i can rightclick rows and deactivate them and save the edited file.

What could the reason be for this?

  • The folder is not readonly
  • The files are not readonly
  • The license is valid
  • The project is not password protected
  • It happens with ALL programs and procedures including the sample procedures from MvTech.

  • Could you provide a sample file? Since the text is readable, it means that the *.xml file (which every Halcon file basically is) could be edited into a functioning procedure again. Commented Apr 18 at 5:35
