Why logging to the same file from different processes works while the docs says it shouldn't?

I was learning how can I log to the same file from different processes from these official examples: 1,2.

Then I tried a simple example of logging from different processes but without following the things suggested in above examples, that is by following usual way without considering multi process scenario for logging:

Surprisingly it was working. I thought I should face some file access conflicts while logging to the same file from different processes. But that didnt happenned. The multiprocessing package says following:

Although logging is thread-safe, and logging to a single file from multiple threads in a single process is supported, logging to a single file from multiple processes is not supported, because there is no standard way to serialize access to a single file across multiple processes in Python.

So is it working because doing

 new_worker.daemon = True

does not really create a new process, but just a new thread?

I am on Windows 7 64 bit running Python 3.6.4 on cygwin
