The water level has risen to the extent that only mountains, their ranges, and other extremely high elevation points are left. It has been maybe 7 centuries since the flood event. Thank you all for answering my first question here!

$\begingroup$ Hi, EST. We're really picky about questions having only a single question, so you should delete the question about crops. I suspect that it would just be a matter of finding a roughly equivalent climate zone in the real world, regardless. You should also consider snipping away distracting details, like world population. I can't imagine that the number of people will change the climate after almost all land animals have been eliminated. $\endgroup$Robert Rapplean– Robert Rapplean2025-11-21 17:43:01 +00:00Commented 17 hours ago

$\begingroup$ You've got to be more specific. The whole environment, the whole ecosystem... on a planetary scale? The help center contains Stack Exchange's Book Rule, "Your questions should be reasonably scoped. If you can imagine an entire book that answers your question, you’re asking too much." Your question, applied to Earth today, consumes entire libraries. Long answer short, you can't ask for everything all at once. In fact, you're supposed to try your hand and answering and only ask us when you get blocked. As-is, this should be closed as too broad. So... Can you be a LOT more specific? $\endgroup$JBH– JBH2025-11-22 00:58:38 +00:00Commented 10 hours ago

$\begingroup$ It's also a good thing to search the stack and see what others have asked. You're in luck that island worlds haven't had a lot of exposure, but there's at least one question worth looking at. Type 'is:q "island world"' into the search bar. The "is:q" says only search questions. The quotes around "island world" force the search to look for the phrase. Yours is one of the seven questions listed. Check them out. $\endgroup$JBH– JBH2025-11-22 01:11:52 +00:00Commented 9 hours ago
