I am a fresher uni student and starting out fresh with learning Linux. I have some experience on working with Python. I need some advice on beginning my journey to learn Linux: resources I can access, where I can get some hands-on practice, how I should progress, which topics to cover and in which order etc. Thanks in advance!

1, requests for learning materials are off-topic here. this site is for asking specific questions and answering them. see What topics can I ask about here? 2. the only possible answer for your question is "it depends". it depends on what you already know, what you intend to use linux for, how you intend to do so, whether you're using a cli-only or gui environment, what programming language(s) you intend to use, and much much more. 3. set up a vm (or real machine) to run linux and just start learning what you need. 4. "just start learning" is likely to generate several specific questions about the specific things you're learning - feel free to ask those here, one question per post. Commented yesterday

most Linux distributions have an option to run from the flash drive without installing anything on the system drive ... pick a distribution and try it out ... for example, Ubuntu, or Mint .... stay away from Kali, unless you like to be tortured Commented yesterday
  • Hello there, you can ask this in the off topic section of a Linux distribution's forum. Maybe start with Ubuntu or Fedora. Commented yesterday
