.NET Framework versions before 4 exist which means .NET version numbers can be ambiguous, but this only exists in .NET Core 2.1, not .NET Framework (which is part of the reason why Microsoft changed later version numbers for .NET Core to start from 5.x)

You can use a string comparison parameter (available from .netNET Core 2.1 and above) String.Contains Method.

public bool Contains (string value, StringComparison comparisonType);

Example:

string title = "ASTRINGTOTEST";
title.Contains("string", StringComparison.InvariantCultureIgnoreCase);
