#WaitingForChange
The parenthood journey & the difficult experiences that accompany it can increase suicide risk. This includes being a new parent, experiencing infertility, baby loss or having a baby that is admitted to neonatal intensive care units (NICU). Our new findings, based on a Wales-only research survey, show that we need urgent improvement across health services in Wales. We need to do better and we need to be prepared to do things differently. We hope you’ll join us in achieving change for anyone on the parenthood journey in Wales.
Samaritans is the charity that prevents suicide through the power of human connection. Connecting people in crisis with trained volunteers who will always listen. People calling for change with those who need to listen. People who've been there before with those struggling now.
Make today the day you make a gift to Samaritans. Your donation will help someone with suicidal thoughts get help when they need it most. Every hour. Every day. For every life.
Suicidal thoughts can be complex, frightening and confusing. If you need someone to talk to, we listen. We won't judge or tell you what to do. We’re not afraid of going into difficult areas with you. Contact a Samaritan today.
We make sure there’s always someone to listen if you’re in crisis or feeling suicidal. And we unite to raise awareness of people’s experiences, create partnerships and campaign for suicide prevention. Join us.
By donating just £4.95 this Christmas, you could help a Samaritans volunteer answer a life-saving call for life.
Being a Samaritan means being there for people who need someone to listen. Last year around 23,000 people volunteered their time with us.
