What happens when funders truly listen and build strategy around what they hear? Our partners at Okta For Good set out to do just that, and we were proud to support them in designing a grantee-informed assessment that put trust-based philanthropy into action. Together, we co-created a process that: - Centered grantee voices across 15 countries - Balanced rigor with accessibility and respect - Generated actionable insights to strengthen tech, wellness, leadership, and financial sustainability The result: a clearer picture of what grantees need and how their funder can respond with humility, strategy, and impact. This work shows what’s possible when corporate philanthropy takes time to slow down, listen deeply, and co-create with the communities they support. 👉 If you’re a funder exploring how to make your capacity-strengthening efforts more responsive and equitable, we’d love to connect. Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/gscc4NCJ With appreciation to our partners at Okta, Keenan Harrell & Victor Cordon, and Third Plateau researchers Ali Ryan-Mosley, Zafreen Jaffery, and Elena Chernock, MFA. #Philanthropy #CorporateSocialImpact #TrustBasedPhilanthropy #GranteeCentric #SocialImpact #Evaluation #ThirdPlateau

Third Plateau reposted this
Northside Capital Management, LLC would like to thank Third Plateau, Allison Domicone and Philippe Sion for partnering with us on last week's Next-Gen Family Wealth & Philanthropy Roundtable. Alana Mag, CFA, CAIA, Alex McCulloch and Stephani Hendricks appreciated the opportunity to collaborate with them and convene such a dynamic group of professionals committed to shaping the future of family wealth and philanthropic engagement. A few key takeaways from the discussion were as follows: 🌱Values-Driven Wealth Stewardship - Next-Gen investors and philanthropists prioritize aligning financial decisions with personal values and social impact. Families that embrace flexibility and adapt to evolving priorities see stronger engagement. 📚Early, Experiential Education - Start small and early; introduce concepts like Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) and provide hands-on opportunities (board roles, grantmaking, investment direction) to build confidence and autonomy. 🔑Empowerment Through Knowledge & Collaboration - Financial literacy programs, mentorship, and open communication help bridge generational gaps. Collaborative planning ensures continuity of vision and fosters trust between advisors and families. 🌍Community & Passion-Driven Engagement - Link giving to personal interests—technology, environment, social impact—and create spaces for shared learning and peer networks.

Sharing expertise and building community through conversations like this cross-sector philanthropy roundtable, is one of the many ways we show up to help more families get the guidance they need to give with purpose and impact.
Innovation for social impact is what happens when two great firms like Third Plateau and Northside Capital Management, LLC co-host a Next Gen Philanthropy Roundtable. We brought together wealth managers, CPAs, lawyers and philanthropic advisors who don’t often sit at the same table to discuss trends in charitable giving. There’s so much these groups can learn from each other, and it was inspiring to see everyone show up with curiosity and a mutual desire to make a difference. As the Great Wealth Transfer accelerates, it’s critical for advisors in different lanes to come together and help high-net-worth families expand their thinking about the many creative ways their wealth and philanthropy can be a force for lasting social good. Grateful to be part of a community that’s helping shape the future of philanthropy. #Philanthropy #NextGenDonors #GreatWealthTransfer

Congratulations to Jodi Archambault on launching this remarkable work to restore and protect Indigenous lands, languages, and cultures. We’re honored to support her journey and witness the meaningful impact she’s creating as the visionary founder of ANPO.
I started an organization earlier this year called anpo.org !! This heart-work focuses on land, language and culture. We are just getting started, but have some really interesting work in the areas of policy, projects, and shifting the fields of conservation and philanthropy to support Indigenous people. Hyper-local work is where everyone must be focused! You can start out by asking yourself, where does your water come from? What is your own responsibility to the life-giving source and all that depends on it?
