The CareSource JobConnect program provides employment assistance to adults enrolled in Medicaid, helping them prepare for a job search, obtain employment and succeed in the workplace. As part of a recent study done by our colleagues at Health Management Associates, there’s something called “the multiplier effect” which is when new jobholders spend a portion of their earnings, creating income for local businesses and nonprofit organizations. In turn, these entities spend a substantial portion of their new revenue, creating income for other suppliers and companies. Because of CareSource’s JobConnect program, across the states of Indiana, Georgia and Ohio – nearly $26 million dollars has been generated in local communities and within the state’s economies! We’re partnering with RightSite Health to improve patient outcomes and reduce strain on Georgia’s emergency rooms. Through this initiative, non-emergency 911 callers are connected with board-certified ER physicians and navigators who provide virtual assessments and guide patients to the most appropriate care, including telehealth, urgent care, behavioral health or primary care. By addressing both care needs and the social factors behind many 911 calls, CareSource and RightSite Health are improving outcomes, supporting EMS and creating healthier communities across Georgia. https://lnkd.in/giuPJ388 #CareSourceGA

This Sunday, NFL players from all over the country will be participating in My Cause, My Cleats – an initiative that encourages the athletes to wear custom cleats to shine a light on causes that make a difference in the community. Through this initiative, we’re working with Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson to bring attention to an organization and cause near and dear to our heart: Shoes 4 the Shoeless. This will mark our third year sponsoring the Bengals’ My Cause, My Cleats game AND the third year we’ve chosen to raise awareness for Shoes 4 the Shoeless and the work that they do to ensure children in southwestern Ohio have access to shoes and socks that properly fit them. Being healthy is about more than just going to the doctor’s office. It’s also about having the resources you need to lead a happy, comfortable and successful life - and having access to properly fitting shoes and socks does just that. They will have the option to donate their game-worn cleats to an NFL auction where fans can make their favorite player’s cleats their own. All proceeds from sales will be donated to the respective cause selected by their favorite players.
