What We Do
The Communications & Public Relations team serves as the vital link between KSCS, the community, and external organizations. We ensure that information flows effectively both within the organization and to the public, media, and stakeholders. Our work supports all KSCS departments while also strengthening relationships with community members, partner organizations, and governing bodies.
We are responsible for promoting KSCS programs, events, and initiatives while also managing how KSCS engages with the wider community. Whether through public relations efforts, marketing campaigns, strategic communications, or event planning, we ensure KSCS remains visible, accessible, and connected to those we serve.

- Builds and maintains a positive public image
- Manages media relations, press releases, public service announcements and official statements
- Develops comprehensive communication strategies to support KSCS’s goals
Marketing & branding
- Designs and executes campaigns to promote services, programs, and initiatives
- Creates engaging content for social media, websites, advertisements, and print materials
- Ensures consistency in branding and messaging across all platforms
Community & stakeholder engagement
- Acts as a bridge between KSCS, community members, and partners
- Supports outreach initiatives and collaborates on joint campaigns
- Assists in organizing, promoting, and executing community events
Event planning & support
- Provides communications and logistical support for organizational events
- Assists with event branding, promotion, and media coordination
- Ensures alignment with KSCS’s mission and community engagement goals
Photography & videography
- Captures high-quality photos and videos for events, campaigns, and key initiatives
- Produces videos to enhance awareness and engagement with KSCS’s programs and services
Digital & social media management
- Maintains website content and updates digital platforms with relevant information
- Engages with audiences through social media to foster dialogue and community interaction
Collaboration with Other Services
Our team plays a key role in working with KSCS departments to plan, create, and promote campaigns and events. We collaborate closely to develop messaging, design promotional materials, and coordinate outreach efforts, ensuring maximum engagement and visibility.
We also partner with community organizations on joint initiatives, press releases, and awareness campaigns. By working together, we address key challenges and amplify our collective impact, strengthening connections across Kahnawà:ke.
