Kahnawà:ke Shakotiia’takéhnhas Community Services offers a wide range of services to the Kahnawà:ke community. Our services support all community members – including youth, adults, families, elders, and individuals with special needs. To help you find what you’re looking for, we have organized our key offerings into twelve main service areas.

Traditional Services

Individual counselling & group healing for Kahnawa’kehró:non through Tsi Niionkwarihò:ten, or "our ways."

Mental Wellness and Addictions

Support for community members on their journey to healing and improving their wellbeing.

Addictions Response Services

Compassionate support and resources for Kahnawa’kehró:non to address substance use & addictions.

Youth Protection & YCJA Services

Supporting children and youth safety and well-being, while working in partnership with families.

Foster Care

Recruiting safe, stable and loving parents to foster children at risk in their environment.

Post Majority Support Services

Empowering youth aged 16 to 25 who have aged out of Foster Care.

Assisted Living Services

Services that enhance the lives of Kahnawa’kehró:non with special needs and/or mental illnesses.

Independent Living Centre

For Kahnawa’kehró:non 21 and over who are diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness.

Home and Community Care Services

Empowering adult and elderly Kahnawa’kehró:non’s independence and quality of life at home.

Turtle Bay – Elders' Lodge

For Kahnawa’kehró:non elders seeking a safe, quiet, and welcoming environment to call home.

Prevention

Promoting mental health, preventing substance abuse, and addressing family violence in community.
