What is the advantages to this?

Aside from bumping up load times by 6mb. Makes you think OTF compilation would be a better solution. Maybe mention this isn't recommended in the README? I'll try and push out a guide about Typescript and browser support in the meantime.

This, just like babel-stand alone enables silly little projects to just run in a browser without a trans-compilation step, tooling download, and other project setup work. I'm very happy it exists.

This is great for quick prototyping without having to set up (or copy) build infrastructure, while still having type safety.

By "prototypes" I mean, for example, you want to open an HTML file, paste a script tag, and write a few lines of code to make a small example, or test a simple idea.

I do this all the time with graphical coding, for example I like to paste three.js or some other lib, and just get a quick example running without any server or build tools required, and just open the file in my browser. Basically, similar to making a jsfiddle fiddle, or a codepen pen, but locally in my own HTML file.

Of course, if you have a big project, with a server, or with a build setup, or with both, then of course you'd ideally not want to do this, and you can afford to spend time tuning your build setup for your project.
