| Dec 6, 2022 at 17:37 | comment | added | Mikko Ohtamaa | @Cerbrus - you are correct; this is the situation now. However, it is just a matter of time before ChatGPT gets more variety in its text, or other alternative AI models reach the same level. Unless you count spelling errors of non-English speaking users, it will get harder over time to separate AI-generated low-quality answers from other low-quality answers in medium term future. | |

| Dec 5, 2022 at 23:14 | comment | added | Cerbrus | "as in the end, low-quality AI answers cannot be distinguished from low-quality answers." That's demonstrably false. Plenty of users have already been suspended for posting CGPT-generated answers. These answers follow patterns that are recognizable. | |

| Dec 5, 2022 at 22:08 | comment | added | BDL | I generally agree. Although it should be considered that these AI tools reduced the effort required to post answers that are low-quality but look OK on the first glance. Most other low quality answers have (in addition to giving wrong answers) also spelling and formatting problems, incoherent writing style and other such things that allow for easy identification. | |
