If we have 50 .net developers in a company but my in mostly every project we work only 4 .net developers for 9 out of 6 projects. That means we are working only 4 .net deeopers for each project.shall we use community version of visual studio for those 6 projects or not?mostly companies using comminity versions. Due to religious faith i felt like cheating.what can i do?

it depends on the type of code. If your code open source or for academic use only then there is no limit.

If you building commercial software then depends on company size.

If your companies has over 250 pcs or over 1 million dollars in revenue, it’s consider an enterprise company and can not use vs community and may be fined.

Vs community only support up to 5 developers per non-enterprise company. So only 5 copies can be activated at your company at a time ( assuming you’re not an enterprise, but with 50 developers you probably are). You should buy a commercial version for the other 45 developers.

Note: while vs code is free, the .net extension has the same rules as vs studio and requires vs subscriptions for enterprise or non-enterprise and over 5 users.
