Hi, apparently I lost an access to my former organization that published my extension (https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=xvyslo05.cypress-open-testcase)

I have accesses to both github and personal and work accounts that might be associated with the extension, but i am not able to claim it, so I can generate a PAT and release a new version.

What should I do, to proceed?

    Thanks for reaching out.

If you’ve lost access to the organization that owns your extension, you’ll need to work with Visual Studio Marketplace support to regain control. Here’s what you can do:

    • Go to https://aka.ms/vsmarketplace-support and submit a ticket.
    • Include:
      • The extension URL: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=xvyslo05.cypress-open-testcase
        • Your current publisher ID and any proof of ownership (e.g., GitHub repo link, previous publishing history).
        • If the original organization is inactive, request an ownership transfer to your personal publisher account.
        • After ownership is restored, you can generate a PAT and publish new versions.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to claim the extension without Marketplace support intervention. They handle verification and transfer requests.
