How to Fix Bluetooth Error That Occurs Every Time Computer Restarts?

Since building this computer, I have had constant issues with the Bluetooth driver stopping and giving error code 43 on Windows 11 every time after I restart my computer. This has been happening both on my old motherboard with a USB Bluetooth adapter, as well as now with a new motherboard that has an integrated Bluetooth radio.

The issue will be temporarily resolved during the session, and I can connect my keyboard. However, once I power down my computer, the issue resumes and I must physically connect my keyboard. When I enter device manager, I keep getting the same error code 43. Can someone please assist?

• Error code 43 typically indicates that the driver has stopped because it reported problems to Windows. Here are some steps you can try:

Restart Bluetooth Support Service: • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

• Find "Bluetooth Support Service", right-click it, and select "Restart".

• Ensure the startup type is set to "Automatic".

Update Bluetooth Driver:

• Open Device Manager by right clicking the Start menu and selecting it.

• Expand the "Bluetooth" section, right-click your Bluetooth adapter, and select "Update driver".

• Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software".

Uninstall and Reinstall Bluetooth Driver:

• In Device Manager, right-click your Bluetooth adapter and select "Uninstall device".

• Restart your computer. Windows should automatically reinstall the driver.

Run Bluetooth Troubleshooter:

Hello,

I have run through all the steps but it still did not permanently resolve the issue. Although the troubleshooter goes through the steps and the driver no longer shows an error, the error begins again after rebooting the computer. The troubleshooter said that it was unable to fix the unresolved error for the bluetooth radio (Error 0x1).

Unfortunately, the solution does not work. I followed the steps and it solved the issue temporarily, but after connecting to my bluetooth keyborad and restarting my computer, the issue happened again.

Prior to rebooting, when I ran the bluetooth troubleshooter, it went through the steps and despite the driver temporarily working, indicated that it could not fix the issue (error code 0x1).

I had a similar issue once, then the problem "upgraded" to not working at all any more whenever I tried a Realtek Bluetooth USB adapter. I could now resolve the issue by going to the device manager from windows and list devices by driver (menu: view → devices by driver) and I removed all drivers that had a Bluetooth icon. After a restart, my Realtek worked just fine. I have been having this issue for ages for all Realtek adapters and have been using an old ASUS adapter instead. I believe there were old Realtek drivers installed which conflicted with the new driver/device.
