You can’t please everyone – or can you? The adorable logic puzzles in Is This Seat Taken? challenge you to satisfy fussy folks by finding them the perfect place to sit or stand. Whether they’re riding the bus, watching the big game or taking a sightseeing cruise, everyone in the group has a preference. Shift and shuffle people around until the symphony of musical chairs ends with everyone smiling.
What we love: Handling funny (and often relatable) quirks, such as a character not wanting to sit behind someone wearing a giant hat at the movies or being grossed out by chewing noises at a restaurant. When a character’s pet peeves echo your own – maybe it’s Lucia wanting distance from Maku’s strong cologne – it feels great making them happy.
Quick tip: Start by placing the people who need to be in a specific spot – like the bride and groom at the head table of their wedding reception – and work from there.
Meet the creator: Barcelona’s Poti Poti Studio takes its name from the Catalan expression fer un poti poti (“to make a strange mixture of things”). The Is This Seat Taken? development team drew from their own everyday experiences when crafting scenarios for the game, and they named many of the characters after friends and family.
